I saw this at my local bookstore, priced at $39.99.

It's a miniature fashion kit, complete with dress form and a base dress to modify! It comes with a load of pins, so I really don't know how "child-friendly" it is, but it sure looks like a load of fun! Also included in the kit is a handful of fabric swatches, rolls of sequins, and pure tubed glitter.

Depending on how excited you're feeling, you could do anything from simply pin the pre-made dress up to tea length all the way to taking the fabric and sewing your own from scratch. And the "special occassions" kit isn't alone; also available is a pure "fashion" kit and an accessory kit.
